Safeguarding

Every child, young person and adult who takes part in our activities has the right to be safe. Keeping them safe is everyone’s responsibility at MEC Foundation UK: our trustees, staff, teachers, volunteers and tenants.

If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. For anything else, see Raising a concern below.

Who this covers

This commitment applies to all our activities, both at the centre and elsewhere. That includes our Weekend School, Qur’an and reading classes, youth and family programmes, talks, Ramadan iftars, mosque visits by schools and groups, our student accommodation, and events run by groups who hire our rooms.

Our commitment

You can ask us for a copy of our full safeguarding policy. [Or link it here: /assets/docs/safeguarding-policy.pdf]
